IMPORTANT NOTICE

A Dominican Friar who resides in the parish rectory has tested positive for COVID-19.   Therefore, all of us Dominicans are in quarantine and arranging testing.  All the other Dominicans, including the two priests who celebrated Masses over the weekend, have tested negative for the virus, thankfully.  We are following the guidance of church and civil authorities. Because of this situation:
  • All public in-person Masses, Confessions, and Parish Activities (including Night Prayer, Holy Hour on Thursday) have been canceled through this coming Saturday.  All Mass intentions will be covered by private Masses.
  • All the Masses this coming Sunday (Dec 19-20) WILL still take place, but with visiting priests celebrating.  Unfortunately, there will be no confessions this Saturday or Sunday, or any livestream Mass on Sunday.
  • The Sisters of Life will present to our Young Adult group over Zoom this Thursday at 7pm.  All non-young adults are welcome to join in.  You can find the link below.
  • Our Parish will continue to livestream Masses (private and in the upper church) during this time.  See below.
  • The Lower Church will remain open for prayer.
  • The last night for the series on Jesus in the Old Testament will take place over Zoom on Monday, December 21st at 7pm.  The link can be found on the website and in the emails we send out.
  • The Dominican Friars who tested negative will get a second test on Tuesday.  If we are all still negative, we will resume all normal activities on Wednesday, December 23, and Christmas will be as scheduled.
  • Check back here and subscribe to our emails for updates.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and prayers during this difficult time, and be assured of my prayers for you.       -Fr. Hyacinth, pastor

Solemnity of St. Dominic

August 8

Mass at 10:00am

Guest Homilist:
Fr. Kevin Thompson, OFM Cap

There is a tradition that Dominicans visit Franciscans on the feast of St. Francis, and Franciscans visit Dominicans on the feast of St. Dominic . . . and that a Franciscan preaches on the feast of St. Dominic and a Dominican preaches on the feast of St. Francis.  So, keeping with this tradition, some Franciscans will be visiting us, and Fr. Kevin Thompson OFM Cap will be our special homilist!

+ Social Distance Reception following the Mass +

Since Black and White are the Dominican colors,
all are encouraged to wear Black and White on August 8!

To tune in live, click on the video below at 10:00am on Saturday, August 8.  Or watch it recorded here or on
our YouTube Channel afterward.  Note that there will be NO REGULAR 8AM MASS ON AUGUST 8.
