PRO-LIFE MINISTRY

"For you formed my inward parts, you knitted me together in my mother's womb."
-Psalm 139:13

"Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to slaughter."

 -Proverbs 24:11
Every human being is made in the image and likeness of God.  Because of this, every human being have intrinsic worth.  The principle of inviolability flows from the principle of intrinsic worth.  Inviolability means that it is never justified to directly kill innocent human life as a means or end, in any circumstances.  We have small beginnings and develop.  We also decline with age.  But our dignity doesn't develop or decline.  Wherever human nature is, our full dignity is present.  Because we are worth so much, it is never justified to kill innocent human life at any stage.

There are many violations of human dignity in the modern world and many specious justifications for these violations.  Here at St. Patrick's, we seek to pray for, educate, and advocate for human life in all stages and conditions.  Because abortion involves the taking of innocent human life, and because the numbers are so staggering in our country and in the world, this issue rightly takes a certain prominence.  We support efforts that prevent abortion, change the minds of those considering abortion, and support those in difficult circumstances with all the help they need.  We advocate for all other pro-life issues as well.
ABORTION
Prayer to End Abortion
We invite all to pray for the end of abortion, so that all human beings, like ourselves, will be allowed to be born.  We also invite people to pray at Planned Parenthood as a silent and peaceful witness for the changing of hearts and minds.  Email our Pro-Life Coordinator for more information:
